TBM INSURANCE

The TBM is an amazing aircraft known for its strong construction, blazing speed and extensive manufacturer support. As of 2025 over 1,300 of these aircraft have been delivered and almost 60 more arrive each year. It is one of the most sought-after turboprops for the owner pilot, who has often gained experience in multiple aircraft before making the jump to a capable aircraft like this one.

5X5 Insurance supports the TBM Owners and Pilots Association (TBMOPA) and incentivizes pilots to join by providing an immediate 5% premium reduction for being a paid member.

  • Secures the most comprehensive information about the pilot’s experience and flying, ensuring that, as seasoned owners, they obtain transparent underwriting and the best service.

  • Provides special premium discounts for TBMOPA members and if the pilot has earned TAAP status, offers the maximum premium reduction available. 5X5 recognizes the improved safety that results when pilots complete regular training and engage with the owners and pilots association.

  • Get a quote in as little as 15 minutes. No waiting and wondering for weeks or more to see if you are approved and learn what coverage you may be provided.

  • Delivers the best price up front based on your training and experience. More training during the year provides you with more savings on your premium. No other insurer communicates directly to you about how you can reduce your premium.

  • Allows you to work directly with the underwriter, ensuring you are being represented fairly.

  • Removes the “broker of record” nonsense and allows the free market to operate. 5X5 won’t lock you out from receiving other quotes.

  • 5x5 helps you transition into the TBM from piston-powered aircraft and prepare for the opportunities a truly cross-country machine supplies.

  • Supports your aviation journey as your experience grows and, like all of us do, age. We recognize many people own multiple TBMs during their flying careers, while others grow into larger turboprops and even jets.
